Apple promised this feature when it released its latest iPhone in September, and it's likely to arrive very soon ;s soon. The new iOS 18.2 update will bring a new feature highly anticipated.
While the final version of iOS 18.1 was released on the iPhone 16 last week, re, Apple has already announced a new update for the end of 2024. According to According to the latest rumors, users could enjoy it as early as the week of December 2nd.
One of the biggest new features in iOS 18.2 will undoubtedly concern the camera. Indeed, Apple plans to improve the camera control button once again, by incorporating a feature new: focus and exposure lock.

Once enabled, it will be possible to capture a photo or video while fixing the focus settings and exhibition (as the name suggests). To do this, simply go to the settings of the Camera application and activate the “AE/AF Lock” option.
The operation will be relatively simple: before pressing the button firmly to capture an image, the user will first have to perform a pre-press to fix the focus.
For now, version 18.2 is in beta and is only accessible to developers. Be careful though: although the update is available for all iPhones, only iPhone 16 owners will be able to benefit from the improved camera.
