A iPhone 16 stuffed d'IA
If the design of the iPhone 16 will not mark a major evolution compared to previous years, it is because its main new features will be found inside the smartphone. First of all, this generation will be able to count on new chips for more power and better management of autonomy. The Pro and Pro Max models will no longer offer 128 GB of storage, which is considered too little for their everyday use. It will now be necessary to upgrade to 256 GB of storage in the least expensive version. It is also rumored that the 12 Mpx photo sensor will be upgraded to 48 Mpx for more details, but also a better focal aperture in order to capture more light in your shots.
But above all, the iPhone 16 would be focused around artificial intelligence. Apple is lagging behind in this segment compared to competitors like Google or Samsung. The Cupertino firm unveiled, a few months earlier, its own AI solution called “Apple Intelligence” and which allows many features including four already highly anticipated:
- The integration of ChatGPT into the iPhone.
- The creation of images serious; from text.
- The summaryé articles, translation and rewriting of texts.
- A much smarter and more responsive Siri.
However, we will have to wait to see if all of these AI features will be available when the iPhone 16 launches. The latest European regulations could force Apple to delay the release of some of these new features.
Other announcements expected
In addition to the iPhone 16, Apple should take advantage of its keynote to make other hardware announcements. It is rumored that new AirPods will be unveiled during the evening, including two variants of AirPods 4, but also a new AirPods Max headset.
If Apple sticks to its habits, the firm should also announce several new connected watches Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 3. The latter would notably benefit from better autonomy, a new chip, and a screen with thinner edges.
The Apple keynote will take place this Monday, September 9 from 7 p.m. (Paris time). We will be sure to cover it live and recap all the announcements of the evening.
