iPhone 16 Not Announced Apple Is Already Preparing iPhone 17

While all eyes are on the iPhone 16& ;nbsp;which will be announced soon, Apple would have has already started working on the next iPhone 17, which already has many surprises in store.

Should we really wait for the iPhone 16? On Apple's side, the question does not seem to arise. The firm is still expected for its next keynote which will take place on Monday, September 9. But while the Apple community is already speculating on the new features of this future smartphone, the Cupertino firm already has its eyes turned towards the future.

Several sources already responsible for information leaks around the iPhone 16 seem formal: Apple is already working hard on the iPhone generation coming in 2025. The future iPhone 17 is already the subject of various rumors and leaks on the web, notably thanks to a brand new model called “iPhone 17 Air".

This name is obviously reminiscent of the iPad Air, formerly the thinnest tablet of Apple's devices. The company would therefore like to offer an iPhone 17 that is much thinner than previous generations of iPhones and would be positioned between the base model and the Pro versions.

If Apple does indeed confirm the existence of the iPhone 17 Air, the next generation of iPhones will to be released in 2025 would therefore be as follows:

  • iPhone 17
  • iPhone 17 Air
  • iPhone 17 Pro
  • iPhone 17 Pro Max

A rather surprising piece of news when we know that the iPhone 16 has not even been officially confirmed by Apple yet. The firm has however already launched invitations for a keynote to come on September 9th with a kick-off scheduled for 7pm (Paris time).

Little other information is however currently available concerning the iPhone 17 Air. The latter could very well be just a rumor within Apple HQ and ultimately never see the light of day. In particular, rumors about an “iPhone Ultra” have been circulating on the web for several years without such a model having yet seen the light of day. We will therefore have to wait until September 2025 to find out for sure.
