However, according to a recent rumor, it is possible that Apple's next affordable model will not be an iPhone SE. In a recent article, the site 91mobiles relays “Fixed focus digital”, a source from the Chinese social network Weibo, which indicates that Apple would abandon the iPhone SE brand. And instead of the iPhone SE 4 or the iPhone SE 2025, the Cupertino company would launch a model called the iPhone 16e.

For the moment, caution is advised, because this is not an official source. But in any case, with such branding, Apple would be directly inspired by some Android smartphone manufacturers who release mid-range versions of their flagships with a similar pattern. For example, this year, Google released the Pixel 8a, which is an affordable version of the Pixel 8 that will launch in 2023.

No matter what this smartphone is called, it should be a particularly interesting model.
