Herbert Léonard is becoming deaf

When Jordan De Luxe asks him if his ears are getting better, the artist answered, without hesitation, “no”. I am becoming deaf. I am fitted with a hearing aid”, he explains. “Çit still helps you a lot ?”, asks the presenter. “Yes, yes, of course”, he affirms, before specifying the reason for his handicap.

“No, but I've listened too loud in my life”, he says. “Ah, that's because of that ?”, Jordan de Luxe wonders. According to Herbert Leonard, his role as Frollo in the musical comedy NotreDame de Paris didn't help matters. Far from it. “And then, I did two years with Notre Dame de Paris”, he recalls. “Yes, Frollo !”, Jordan exclaims.

He reveals one of the causes of his disability

The singer explains that he had to put “ears” in his ears. “Yes, to explain to our viewers, these are earphones that take the shape of the ear, it's molded. It's very special. And it's very expensive, by the way. It's so that the singers have the feedback of their voice in their ears, otherwise they can't sing”, explains the 35-year-old host.

“The feedback of voice, and music”, specifies Herbert Léonard, before adding: “For two years, I listened too loudly because it made me live, the vibrations made me live and çit wrecked my ears“. “It's because of Notre Dame that you wrecked your ears ?”, Jordan De Luxe asks his guest again. “Yes, but not only because of Notre Dame. I think it made my case worse, you know”, the latter concludes.
