After a first flight to Malaga, the couple from the southwest of England took a second plane to Manchester, all at a cheaper price than the train.
Kristina Coulson, a resident of Cornwall in southwest England, made the long detour to pick up her new car in Crewe, near Manchester.
Rather than travel the 270 miles by train, the 43-year-old social worker and her husband, Dan, opted for a cheaper flight, but they had to spend a few hours in Malaga, reports The Telegraph.

Kristina and Dan paid £54 each for a first flight from Newquay, Cornwall, to Malaga, then a second flight from Malaga to Manchester. The total cost for the couple is £108 (just under €130), much cheaper than the train ticket, which costs £200 per person.

Arriving in Malaga around noon, the couple only stayed a few hours before boarding for Manchester at 10pm. Once in England, they spent the night at the airport hotel for 90 euros. The next day, they picked up their vehicle to go home.
Although Kristina admits that “it was a bit of a crazy idea” , she highlights the competitiveness of the plane's prices and the comfort it offers, recalling that she had already been “standing for almost seven hours “ on a train when she had paid for a seat.
