An entire life dedicated to her career and during which she put her private life aside.

Invited onto the set of “Chez Jordan” on December 10, 2024, Catherine Benguigui also explained at greater length why she never built a family life. “I'm not married, it's complicated… I have a character, I don't like to let people do things to me. For a long time, couples were about the submissive woman, that cliché of a wife, cooking… I never put up with it.” she explained.

Catherine Benguigui: “I would have liked have a child”

The actress's longest love story lasted two years. Certainly not long enough to want to build a home. “I had a cat but it died.” she joked. Then, she confided: “When I see my friends now, I would have liked to but I don't know if I would have been a good mother.” Without children, Catherine Benguigui considers however Mayel Elhajaoui, interpreter of Georges Caron in “Tomorrow belongs to us”.

A little later in the show, Catherine Benguigui then explained that if she did not have children it is because she has never “found the right person”. “It seemed too complicated to me, the child really has to be wanted, I am very sensitive, I was afraid of not being a good mother, I am sensitive to abuse.” she added.

In addition to confidences about her private life, Catherine Benguigui has lifted the veil on her romantic situation. “I am single and still looking. I have a little crush… he is not well-known, he is an actor. He is younger, about ten years younger. I have trouble with men my âge.” she concluded.
