IN BRIEF

  • Yann Barthès welcomed Apolline de Malherbe and Bruce Toussaint on the set of Quotidien on January 10, 2025.
  • Bruce Toussaint revealed êbeing jealous of the rock dance that Apolline de Malherbe got into on BFMTV this week.
  • Her colleague didn't expect the journalist to spill the beans on her.

Yann Barthès ended his back-to-school week in style on the set of Quotidien. Two exceptional guests agreed to answer his sometimes thunderous questions this Friday, January 10, 2025, Apolline de Malherbe and Bruce Toussaint. Although they work on competing channels, the two journalists have already rubbed shoulders with each other in the past.

“You know each other since you worked together. It was on Canal, I think ?”, their colleague asked them. Apolline de Malherbe immediately corrected him: “No. In fact, we worked together on Canal. “When did you work on Canal ?”, continued Yann Barthès. His colleague continued : “At BFM for years”, where, as colleagues at the time, they took over in the morning show.

Bruce Toussaint: this tasty anecdote shared in Quotidien

In the rest of the interview, the Quotidien host challenged his guests to tell “some crap” about each other. The host of the BFMTV morning show kicked into touch, despite Yann Barthès insistence. “I have one”, her ex-colleague finally gave in. Apolline de Malherbe did not expect it. “You're disgusting!”, she threw at him.

The leading face of TF1's morning show immediately retorted without mincing words: “I don't care, I'm just telling. I'm a little jealous all the same of this wild dance of Apolline this week. He was then referring to a particularly rock sequence captured by the cameras of BFMTV a few days earlier.

Bruce Toussaint: what was he alluding to ?

Last January 8th marked Elvis Presley's 90th birthday. On this occasion, Apolline de Malherbe, in a leather dress, left the seat from which she hosts the BFMTV morning show to launch into a wild rock with her colleague Laurent Neumann. While the sequence éwas rebroadcast on TMC yesterday evening, the journalist said to Bruce Toussaint: “If you want to dance, I'll dance”.

The latter, clearly shy, did not respond to her invitation. In his role as referee, Yann Barthès continued: “Music-wise, you're not bad either, Bruce. Then appeared on the screen archive images taken from an issue of Salut les Terriens where we see Bruce Toussaint singing the hit Proud Mary under the gaze of Christian Estrosi. “In fact, you have to sing and I have to dance”, Apolline de Malherbe commented humorously.
