“With which nothing happened, that's why I'm talking about it”, he slipped in with humor before specifying: “Sylvie Vartan's beauty fascinated me, I was crazy about her, she excited me on stage. Every time she performed in concert, I bought all the tickets around me to find myself alone in front of her. Much later, I filmed with Sylvie Vartan, Mausolée pour une garce. The actor was also disturbed by a global superstar. “Liza Minelli, I discovered her at her debut in an empty Olympia, she was an atomic bomb, pure genius.I kept sending her flowers. I was quite a nice-looking guy and she asked me to have dinner one night, after her show on December 24th. But her fiancé showed up by surprise to spend Christmas with her…”, he declared.

In April 2013, in the columns of Le Parisien, Jacques Weber had already made similar remarks. “As a young actor, I found it very romantic to court stars. I did some incredible numbers at Jacqueline Bisset, à Liza Minnelli”, he had indicated before adding: “Today, I like to play with women on the set: everything is allowed, seduction is practiced without danger”.

In 1973, Jacques Weber had fallen in love with Jane Birkin, his partner in Private Projection. On the set of L'instant de Luxe, he had in guaranteed effect: “I completely fell in love with her (…) First of all, she's a beautiful woman, overwhelming, and she was so pretty, I was crazy, I was really crazy”.

An inveterate flirt, the actor is nevertheless very much in love with his wife, who manages a lot of their family and professional life. “It's not even that I'm incompetent, no, just lazy. And since I found someone who wants to take care of everything, I'm taking advantage of it”, he had slipped.
