The case caused a stir and shocked an entire village. On Saturday, January 11, late in the morning, a mother of five children who had just dropped off some of them at the Vergèze athletics club went for a run in the town park. But her path tragically crossed that of her attacker, who, at a bend in the path of the fitness trail, stabbed her before being put to flight by witnesses.

The victim has not yet been heard

Taken into care by emergency services, her life was then in danger. But, fortunately, the condition of this 44-year-old woman gradually improved and stabilized over the weekend. However, it was still fragile on Wednesday, January 15. And still did not allow, for the time being, investigators to take her statement in order, in particular, to know if she had been able to see her attacker before the tragedy.
