IN BRIEF
- For our colleagues at Paris Match, Laura Smet looked back on her life after her father's death 7 years ago
- And here is Johnny Hallyday's daughter clarifying the matter of biopics about her father
- Larticia Hallyday seems to have won her battle against her ex, Jalil Lespert, who was supposed to release a film about the Taulier
It's been seven years since Johnny Hallyday left us. Having passed away on December 5, 2017, the Taulier left behind a memorable memory in all memories. On the occasion of this sad anniversary, his daughter, Laura Smet, decided to confide in a long interview for our colleagues at Paris Match.
And against all expectations, the daughter of the Boss will set things straight about of a biopic project that was led by Jalil Lespert, Laeticia Hallyday's ex-partner : “There is only one left, Jalil Lespert's film will not be made. There is only the one left by Cédric Jimenez with Raphaël Quenard, who called me to discuss it”, she reveals. Thus, it would seem that the singer's widow has won her battle and that the only film she agreed to be Cédric Jimenez's and not her ex's.

Seven years after her father's death, Laura Smet says she still feels the presence of her late father : “I feel it a lot. A day like today, he has really been there, it's very strange, I see a lot of signs from him. It comes through body language, food cravings, it's weird and nice. À his way, he still accompanies me”.
Indeed, Johnny Hallyday seems to be very often at his daughter's side when she has to make decisions: “Yes, a lot. The TV movie I shot for France 2, he was the one who advised me to do it… I got married on June 15, 2019. On his birthday, because it was the only date available that year. The cafe where we are supposed to take my Cap-Ferret is closed today. I went to a cafe that had just opened. It was 7:30 and on the radio I heard ‘Laura’. It was like he was saying, ‘Excuse me, I didn't wake up in time. But now we can go.’ And I had a completely perfect day thanks to him”, she remembers.
Johnny Hallyday's daughter attentive to her father's musical heritage
As for her father's immense career, and the works he left behind, Laura Smet specifies that she has a say in the projects that can be made in honor of her father: “It's such a mess that I wouldn't know how to answer. But the people who manage his work have the elegance to call me when they release something.”
“Some are even obliged to consult for the use of some of his songs. For me, what matters is that what he created is in the most beautiful things possible and that his memory is respected”. A way for her to always be active in projects that will use her father's music.
