On January 14, 2025, Kate Middleton confirmed the announcement of her remission, months after announcing that she was suffering from cancer.

Princess Kate, who announced in early September that she had completed chemotherapy, said on Tuesday that she was “relieved to be in remission” from her cancer.

A relief

“As anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer knows, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. However, I am looking forward to the year ahead,”wrote the wife of Crown Prince William on social media.

She revealed in March 2024 that she had been diagnosed with cancer, the nature of which has not been revealed, and that she had started chemotherapy.

Treatment ends in September

Last September, six months after announcing her cancer, Kate Middleton had already expressed her relief. And for good reason, she had just finished her treatment.

“The last nine months have been incredibly hard for us, as a family”, continued the 42-year-old princess, in this message accompanied by a video in which she appears surrounded by her husband and their three children, George, Charlotte and Louis, walking and playing in nature.

“My road to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” she warns. “I am, however, looking forward to returning to work and undertaking public activities in the coming months when I can.”.

And at the end of March, she herself announced, in a video that had moved people, that she had cancer, without specifying the nature of it. A further blow for the royal family, since King Charles III had also announced shortly before that he had cancer.
