On the night of April 21 to 22, Kendji Girac greatly worried his fans. When they woke up, they discovered that the latter had been seriously injured by a bullet in the chest. An accident that could have cost him his life. Subsequently, the investigation revealed that the singer was the cause of this shot. During several months of convalescence, Kendji Girac withdrew from the stage before returning with a very personal album. Invited of the show C à Vous this Wednesday, December 4, he took the opportunity to make some confidences on this subject. He first revealed that he was very relieved when he discovered that his voice was still there. 

Kendji Girac could have died and he is aware of it. After performing his song Si seulement on the set, Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine praised his beautiful voice. Enough to push the singer to make some confidences. “I was afraid of losing my voice and when I saw that it was there, I was relieved. It's okay, she didn't leave me, he let him know. His voice being his main tool in everyday life, Kendji Girac would never have been able to continue if she had suddenly disappeared. So, discovering that she was still there greatly reassured him.

Kendji Girac: this decision that saved him

Kendji Girac knew that this accident would cause a lot of talk. He therefore opted for discretion and made a radical decision, which was very beneficial to him. “What had to be done was to turn everything off. I turned everything off,” he said. So, he was surrounded only by the people who are dear to his heart: his family, his wife and their little girl. “I felt the love of the audience because I was getting news,” assures the singer before specifying :   “But I ignored everything and took only the good.”The goal for him was to focus only on the positive and ignore anything that could harm his recovery.

With this album, Vianney wanted to give his version of the facts concerning the accident he was a victim of. Thus, he opted for very personal songs and he opens his heart to his audience, very loyal for many years. “I wanted to sing and I told Vianney what I felt, what was on my heart. I told him that he shouldn't stop writing this album,” he said. Pains that the singer managed to write in moving lyrics that allow Kendji Girac to express himself.

Kendji Girac: a return he was eagerly awaiting

Kendji Girac was greatly missed by his audience. I told him: ‘No, no, you mustn't stop writing this album. I want to talk to my audience, to sing to them what I feel, to apologize for hiding '”, he said. Through the songs on his album, he delivers important messages but also openly apologizes for the harm he may have caused them.  “ I didn't think I'd get lost like that one day, but it happened to me. That shows we have fragilities!”, he confided in all transparency.

During his speech, Kendji Girac reminds us that it is important not to stay alone when something is wrong. Being able to count on others is essential, as is asking for help. “When we are fragile, we are human, we have the right to go as low as possible,” he said before adding:  “But what is most incredible is that when we go down to the lowest point, after the light, when we manage to see it at the end of this tunnel, it is truly wonderful.” A bad period that is no longer just a bad memory for Kendji Girac. The singer intends to take full advantage of his fans.
