It's confirmed. After a victory (3-2) against Alavés in La Liga this Tuesday evening, and a superb goal concluding an impressive move with Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé is indeed affected in the thigh, Real Madrid indicated this Wednesday. The former PSG striker would be out for several weeks, several press titles indicate this afternoon.  “After the tests carried out today on our player Kylian Mbappé by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the biceps femoris of the left leg. &Evolution pending", the Spanish club was content to write in a laconic statement.

Kylian Mbappe will undergo a series of additional tests to better understand his injury, his treatment and the length of his absence. Marca and other Spanish media outlets are saying that Kylian Mbappe will miss at least three weeks or even a month of competition. The captain of the French team will therefore be absent from the derby against Antoine Griezmann's Atlético de Madrid, Real's next clash in La Liga. He will also miss the match against Villarreal, but also and above all the Champions League clash against Lille, scheduled for October 2, at the Stade Pierre Mauroy.

A hard blow and a great missed opportunity for Mbappé since his brother Ethan Mbappé joined LOSC at the start of the season and is a luxury joker there. Already a starter (against Angers in particular) in Ligue 1, Kylian Mbappé's younger brother had been lined up a few minutes during the first European match of the Northerners against Prague in the C1 play-offs at the end of August, before also injuring an adductor.
