After losing Johnny Hallyday, it was there that she managed to rebuild herself, in a place that was very dear to her. “It is between these walls that we healed our wounds, that we learned to live with absence, to rebuild days lit by love despite the shadow of loss” , she confides afterwards.
It is very difficult for Laeticia Hallyday to imagine forgetting this house. She spent time there and has wonderful memories, especially with her husband. “It sheltered our dreams, our secrets, our promises for tomorrow. But above all, she helped us get back on our feet, to rebuild ourselves after the unimaginable absence of my husband,” she said. Far from the media spotlight, she was able to recharge her batteries when she needed it most. “This house was our refuge in the chaos of mourning, our anchor when everything seemed to be falling apart,” she continued before adding: “Everything is gone… and with it, a part of my soul.”
Laeticia Hallyday is nevertheless aware that the most important thing is human lives. She lost everything but was able to get to safety, like many of her neighbors. “Grief is endless. I think of my neighbors, my friends, those who have lost everything, of this village of Pacific Palisades that we loved so much for 17 years and that gave us so much,” she said. If having to move on will be very complicated for her, the rocker’s widow concluded her message by simply declaring: “For now, there remains silence and ashes. But there will always be love.”
