In failure for two days in Ligue 1, AS Monaco fourth in the Champions League standings needs to get going again against Bologna this Tuesday evening and hopes to take a further step towards qualification.

Fourth in the general Champions League rankings, AS Monaco is the highest ranked French club in the competition. The Monegasques could move a little closer to qualifying for the rest of the European competition on the Bologna pitch this Tuesday evening. The French Championship club remains unbeaten after three matches with two victories over FC Barcelona (2-1) and Red Star Belgrade (5-1) and a draw against Dinamo Zagreb (2-2). In the event of victory at the Stade Renato-Dall'Ara, Adi Hütter's team would almost guarantee a place among the top 24 teams, thus qualifying for the final stages.

This is also the objective stated by the Austrian coach in the pre-match press conference: “Our objective is to leave Bologna with points”. For him, the Italian team “is a dangerous team, with an experienced coach, but which only has one point” in the competition. “This match will therefore be very important for them. But I am convinced that we will offer a good opposition,” he assured the media. On the other side, Bologna will obviously not let themselves be pushed around. Vicenzo Italiano and his men only have one small point, "but the time has come to put in a great performance in front of our fans in the Champions League"!
