Leader Price employees have not been paid for three months

The Leader Price in Montmirail in the Marne has been abandoned since its acquisition.

Not only have the five employees not been paid for three months, but neither have the suppliers. The shelves are gradually emptying and broken fridges are not being repaired.

The situation is only getting worse because employees who are no longer paid are naturally no longer doing anything.

“She came in March. We thought she was good. But at the end of July, there were no more deliveries. And we could clearly see that our pay slips were arriving later and later,” a store employee testified on BFMTV.

Unpaid employees on sick leave

Since October, these pay slips have not arrived at all. The employees then all went on sick leave and the supermarket was closed.

The employees alerted the CGT, which discovered that the owner owned five other supermarkets in which the situation was the same.

The court seized

A hearing before the Paris Commercial Court is scheduled for January 16 for the Montmirail court.

A court decision would allow for a termination of contracts, which is not possible at the moment, so that the employees can receive unemployment benefits.

They then plan to seize the Prud’hommes.
