The residents of the Capitelles du Soleil district were numerous at the general meeting of their committee, in the Jean-Bonfils room. It is worth remembering that this young committee was born in 2022 from the merger of the Capitelles II committee and the Mas-du-Soleil subdivision. Little by little, it is positioning itself well in the life of the Nîmes districts thanks to the dynamism of the management team chaired by Emmanuelle Denicou. It was in the presence of Richard Tibérino, president of the Nimes Ouest-Saint-Césaire neighborhood council, Franck Proust, president of Nîmes Métropole, accompanied by his chief of staff Priscillia Salelles, Antoine Roger, director of the mayor's office, that the president presented the moral report of the association which highlights an overflowing activity on the part of the members of the committee to animate, inform, beautify or secure their neighborhood.

1 Security: a great improvement

In terms of security, the highlight was the integration of the neighborhood into the Citizen Participation system which, combined with the efforts of the municipal and national police, has allowed us to see a great improvement in this area. 3 The modernized recycling center

Like all the neighborhoods of Nîmes, this one is concerned by green waste and other selective sorting. Franck Proust mentioned the household waste collection tax which has dropped by 10%, before recalling the service set up for the over 70s to crush green waste and the modernization of the Saint-Césaire recycling center.
