New twist in the Liam Payne case. As a reminder, the young singer died on October 16, following a fall from the balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The latter had taken alcohol, cocaine and antidepressants before his death, including a powerful and hallucinogenic drug called Cristal.

The psychiatrist who was treating the artist said last September, just weeks before his death, that “after a thorough examination and evaluation”, he needed a “higher level of care”, reveals Page Six, comments relayed by Gala.

The health professional had advised him to avoid “drinking a lot of alcohol.” He had also advised him to attend weekly therapy to “treat his depression and trauma”, but also to do additional “tests.”

Five people charged

Among the five people charged with “involuntary manslaughter” and “offense of supplying narcotics with preventive detention” is Roger Nores, a friend of the deceased who is accused of negligence, because he had left his friend alone in the hotel before his fatal fall. Among the other people, there are two hotel employees: Braian Paiz, and Ezequiel Pereyra, who allegedly supplied the artist with drugs.

The first accused, however, confessed in court to having taken drugs with Liam Payne on the day of the accident. Both face up to 15 years in prison.

Finally, there are also Esteban Grassi and Gilda Martín, who are the hotel managers. They have been accused of involuntary manslaughter.
