The Italian coach must deal with these absences to be competitive in Brest: “It's going to be a complicated start to the season” for several reasons: suspensions, injuries, a squad that is not yet complete… But that is not an excuse because we have the players and the qualities to succeed.

Having arrived at Stade Brestois this summer, Ludovic Majorque will start in attack. Here is the Brest eleven composed of by Eric Roy: Bizot (G) – Lala, Chardonnet, Le Cardinal, Amavi – Martin, Camara, Pereira Lage, Del Castillo, Le Douaron – Ajorque.

I want the players to show that they deserve to wear this jersey, with courage, character, personality (…) We must not tell ourselves that we will be superior to Brest, and they inferior. We want to play a serious match, and I think we have a team strong enough to get a result tomorrow.” To do this, De Zerbi will be able to count on his recruits Elye Wahi, Mason Greenwood or the Argentinian goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli.

The first line-up for Olympique de Marseille has been announced. Bamo Meïté will be in defense while Quentin Merlin will play in midfield alongside Højbjerg.
