Ligue 1: Monaco new leader, results and ranking

With the draws of OM and PSG, Monaco took the leader's chair during the 7th day of Ligue 1.

The 7th day of Ligue 1 offered a spectacle and a brand new leader. Thanks to their victory on Saturday October 5 against Rennes, the Monegasques are undefeated this season and take the lead in the championship taking advantage of the misstep of their opponents starting with PSG. At the conclusion of this 7th day, the Parisians could not do better than a 1-1 draw on the Nice pitch with a lucky equalizer in the second half on a blocked shot.

Marseille, who could have bounced back on Friday, made their first misstep at home by conceding a 1-1 draw against Angers in a tense match with two red cards. Just behind, Reims took advantage of this poor performance to return to equality with OM in 4th place. In the middle of the rankings, Lyon seems to have started their season well by winning quietly 2-0 against Nantes while Lille won against Toulouse and Lens conceded 2-2 against Strasbourg. At the bottom of the table, Saint-Etienne won their second match of the season and gave themselves some breathing room in the standings, Montpellier and Angers bring up the rear.
