Line 5 construction site: progress on Girac and Gennevaux interchange car parks to the north and west of Montpellier

Both ends of tram line 5 will host a multimodal interchange car park. 

Work is also underway on the two termini to the north, at the Girac roundabout and to the west at the Maurice-Gennevaux roundabout, also known as the Paulette roundabout. These two sectors will host the two interchange car parks (which will also combine the tram, buses and cycle paths) with around 450 spaces.

June and October 2025 for delivery

The Girac terminus to the north (Clapiers stop) will be completed in June 2025, it is starting to take shape; the one in Gennevaux, to the west (Grés de Montpellier stop), will be ready in the fall of 2025. For the time being, it serves as a base camp, but we can see the first rails and operating buildings there…
