&At 29 years old, Timothée Chalamet has already starred in many successful films. While this has allowed him to win awards, everything has not always been easy for the actor. On Monday, November 11, 2024, in the Zane Lowe podcast on Apple Music, he confided that he had been a victim of body-shaming. “If I auditioned for Maze Runner or Divergent, (released in 2014) films of this genre that were all the rage at the time, I was always told: 'Oh, you don't have the right body'“, he recalled.
In all transparency, Kylie Jenner's partner had specified : “I had an agent who called me and said, 'You need to gain weight', not in a bad way… but you know, you know…”. According to him, this still helped him find the type of role that suited him, such as in Call me by your name, Beautiful Boy or Lady Bird. “That's where I found my rhythm, my confidence, my flow, whatever you want to call it”, he had indicated.

“Çit surprises me, çit shocks me, we are in the universe surrounded by weirdos, because in another universe, I am a leader!“, he indicated before specifying that despite everything, it had touched him a lot. ÉReferring to a biopic about his life, Timothée Chalamet responded: “ÇThat would be great, but I have to make sure the next few years are interesting”.

On set, the actor also discussed the film he had just defended, A Perfect Stranger, in which he plays Bob Dylan. “In the public opinion, it doesn't follow the normal format of a biopic. If Timothée Chalamet doesn't know if the film will please the public, he can nevertheless boast that Bob Dylan is among his fans. “A film about me, called A Perfect Stranger, will be released soon. Timothée Chalamet plays the lead role. Timmy is a brilliant actor, so I'm sure he'll be completely credible in my role. Or a younger me. Or another me”, the singer assured on social networks.
