New evening at the Stade de France this Sunday 4th ;August with the premier discipline of the men's 100m. French athletes will be in the running.
The essentials
Gala evening at the Stade de France this Sunday evening. While Nawal Meniker has just started his high jump final, Yann Chaussinand will be entered in the hammer throw final. Other French athletes will be on the track such as Rénelle Lamotte and Anaïs Bourgoin in the 800m heats or Azzedine Habz in the 1500m semi-final. At the end of the evening, the final of the queen race will take place, pitting the best sprinters on the planet against each other in the 100m.

In a semi-final dominated by the South African Akani Simbine ahead of Letsile Tebogo, Marcell Jacobs finished 3rd in 9'92'. The Italian will have to wait until the last qualifying race for the final.

According to information from RMC Sport, André De Grasse would be out of the 100m this Sunday evening at the Stade de France.

When are the Olympic Games athletics events held?
Athletics will be held from Thursday 1st to Sunday 11th August.
Where athletics events will take place ?
Athletics will take place at the Stade de France, in Saint-Denis for all events, at except for the marathon, which will start from the Hôtel de Ville in Paris, and the 20-kilometer walk, which will start from the Pont d'Iéna.
The final selection of the list of athletes participating in the athletics events will be published on July 8, 2024 (May 14 for the marathon). However, some athletes have already achieved the Olympic minimums and are expected to be included in the list, which allows a maximum of three athletes per discipline. 50% of places will be allocated by the minimums, and 50% via the world ranking.
