• New morning of events at the Stade de France this Monday morning with the debuts of Clément Ducos and Wilfried Happio in the 400m hurdles, Lolassonn Djouhan in the discus, Marie-Julie Bonnin and Ninon Chapelle in the pole vault. Shana Grebo (400m hurdles) and Gilles Biron (400m) will compete in the repechages.
• Noah Lyles is the king of the 100m! In a final where The finalists were separated by twelve hundredths, the American won by photo finish ahead of Jamaican Kishane Thompson and his compatriot Fred Kerley.
• The first French athlete to enter the competition this Sunday evening, Gilles Biron will have to go through the repechage after his 7th place in the 400m heats. In the 800m semi-final, R&eacutenelle Lamote qualified for the final on time. It did not work for Anaïs Bourgoin, however, who came 6th in her race. Same result for Azzedine Habz, last in his 1500m semi-final. While French athletics could have won two medals, Nawal Meniker and Yann Chaussinand finished 11th and 8th respectively in the high jump and hammer throw.
• In the high jump, Yaroslava Mahuchikh won the Olympic event ahead of Australian Nicola Olyslagers who won silver. Her compatriot Iryna Gerashchenko and Eleanor Patterson won bronze in a tie. In the hammer throw, Ethan Katzberg wins the Olympic title ahead of Hungary's Bence Kalasz and Ukraine's Mykhailo Kokhan.

5th in the final in 9'85″, Marcell Jacobs left the track, held by doctors. The Italian seemed to the thigh.

In this Olympic 100m final, Noah Lyles won gold ahead of Jamaican Kishane Thompson by five thousandths.

In this 100m final, the eight finalists were separated by twelve hundredths between Noah Lyles (9'79″) and Oblique Seville (9'81″).

In an extremely tight 100m final, Noah Lyles got off to the best start and won Olympic gold after a photo finish. With a time of 9'79″, the American is ahead of Jamaican Kishane Thompson and his compatriot Fred Kerley.

Favorite, Ethan Katzberg held his own! In the first throw, the Canadian stunned the hammer throw competition with a throw of 84.12m to finally win the Olympic medal. He beat the Hungarian Bence Halasz and the Ukrainian Mykhaylo Kokhan.

After a final throw where he bit, Yann Chaussinand finished 8th in the hammer throw final at the 2024 Olympics. After his excellent first throw was ultimately invalidated, the Frenchman never managed to make a similar throw.

The selection of the French team for the Olympics

The final selection of the list of athletes participating in the athletics events will be published on July 8, 2024 (May 14 for the marathon). However, some athletes have already achieved the Olympic minimums and are expected to be included in the list, which allows a maximum of three athletes per discipline. 50% of places will be allocated by the minimums, and 50% via the world ranking.
