• The first medal of the day is a nice surprise. Camille Jedrzejewski won the silver medal in the 25m shooting. Teddy Riner is back on the mats this Saturday with the French team to try to win a fifth Olympic medal. Julian Alaphilippe, in the men's cycling road race, also has a chance and it starts at 11am. À Also note the team sabre with the French favorites for the Olympic title with a first match against Algeria at 1 p.m. At the end of the day, the swimming session begins at 8:30 p.m. with Maxime Grousset who will give his all to snatch a first Olympic gold medal in the 100m butterfly. Anastasiia Kirpichnikova (800m freestyle) also has a chance. The day will conclude with surfing in Tahiti where two Frenchmen are engaged in the semi-finals of surfing. 
• Yesterday was an exceptional day with nine medals including three gold. Riner, Marchand and Daudet were crowned Olympic champions. The latter beat two compatriots in BMX for a hat-trick historical french.
