This Saturday, the day starts strong with para-cycling, a discipline that has brought nine titles and 25 medals since the start of the 2024 Paralympic Games. Alexandre Léauté will try to win a 10th at 9:30 a.m. with the C1-C3 race. In judo, Helios Latchoumanaya will be the chance for the first French title in the discipline with a first fight scheduled for 10:06 a.m. In kayaking, Frenchman Rémy Boullé will try to reach the final in her semi-final scheduled for around 10am. Later in the day, flag bearer Nantenin Keïta will compete in the T13 400m. As a dessert to a beautiful day ahead, the French blind football team will try to win gold in their final against Argentina, which brings back painful memories.
This Friday, Kévin le Cunff and Heïdi Gaugain were beaten in the sprint in para-cycling and took home two silver medals, while Alexandre Lloveras and Yohann Paillot took bronze in tandem. Emiline Pierre won her second medal of the Paralympic Games by taking bronze in the 100m backstroke S10. In the other disciplines, Nathan Petit was beaten in the match for the bronze medal in para-judo. Sofia Pace and flag bearer Nantenin Keita both qualified for their respective 400m T38 and 400m T13 finals.
