With a first 1st Olympic medal in the 400m 4 nages, Léon Marchand on a mission, has started his golden collection. Monday, July 29, other tricolor medals are expected ;eacute;es with notably Yohann Ndoye-Brouard.

Leon Marchand was crowned Olympic champion in the 400m medley and Yohann Ndoye-Brouard qualified for the 100m backstroke final. A slight disappointment, however, for Mewen Tomax who did not manage to reach the 100m backstroke final.

Ariarne Titmus has qualified for the final of the 200m freestyle like her compatriot and rival Mollie O'Callaghan.

Olympic champion in the 400m freestyle, Ariarne Titmus hopes to qualify for a new final Olympic. 

22:03 – Claire Weinstein in first position joins the final

The American Claire Weinstein dominated ; this first semi-final of the 200m freestyle. 

What an intense race! Adam Peaty, who had the advantage for a good part of the final, lost in the last few metres, having been overtaken by Nicolo Martinenghi. The Italian is the new Olympic champion in the discipline in 59:03. Adam Peaty is second and Nic Fink gets the bronze.

There is an extraordinary cast for this enticing 100m breaststroke final with Adam Peaty, Caspar Corbeau, Arno Kamminga and Qin Haiyang. 

Mewen Tomac will unfortunately not be in the 100m backstroke final after finishing 7th in his heat. His time of 53"63 is insufficient.

When are the Olympic swimming events held ?

The swimming events will begin on Saturday, July 27, with the first medals awarded in the evening, with the finals of the 400 meters and the 4x100m freestyle. The tests will last nine days, until Sunday, August 4.

Where the tests will take place?

The pool swimming events will take place at the Défense Arena in Nanterre. The open water swimming will be in the Seine, with a finish at the Pont Alexandre III. Finally, diving, water polo and artistic swimming will be at the Aquatique center in Saint-Denis.
