Logitech is hitting hard at the end of the year with the launch of the Pro X Superlight 2 DEX, successor to a mouse already considered the absolute benchmark in gaming.

This new iteration promises significant improvements with a more efficient sensor, extended battery life and a weight that is still as measured. After several weeks of intensive use, here is our detailed verdict on this new reference.

Logitech's new mouse is available now in black, white or pink. It is sold at the price of 169.99 euros.

Logitech is not reinventing the wheel with this Superlight 2 DEX. The manufacturer is keeping the clean and minimalist lines that made the success of the first version. The shapes of this one have nevertheless become more generous, which offers better ergonomics, especially for fans of palm grip. The mouse has a featherweight of 60 grams, perfectly distributed to guarantee fast and precise movements. Its matte coating offers excellent grip, while its rounded shapes ensure optimal comfort during long gaming sessions.

The grip adapts equally well to the palm grip, the claw grip or the fingertip grip. The two side buttons, positioned only on the left, fall naturally under the thumb for right-handers. The right side, completely smooth, prevents any accidental pressure and contributes to the general ergonomics.

The new Hero 2 sensor constitutes the technological heart of this Superlight 2. Capable of going up to 44,000 DPI, it offers surgical precision for the tiniest movements. The Lightforce switches, purely optical, but designed to reproduce the mechanical feeling, deliver fast and precise clicks.

The wireless connection uses Logitech Lightspeed technology. Our tests reveal absolutely no latency issues, with a refresh rate of up to 8,000 Hz. Instant responsiveness that leaves no doubt on the fact that it is now much more comfortable to play with a wireless mouse, while having peace of mind regarding any possible non-existent latency here.

L' Battery life takes a leap forward with 95 hours of use on a single charge. In our tests, there is no problem using the new DEX for two weeks before needing to be recharged. The included USB-C cable allows for quick charging, but more fortunate gamers can get the Powerplay system. This mouse pad charges the mouse via induction, allowing you to completely forget about battery management.

The G HUB software is the perfect companion to the mouse with a clear and intuitive interface. DPI customization is done on 5 distinct levels, with a range extending from 100 to 44,000. Players can also adjust the wireless reporting frequency and program the 5 buttons according to their needs. G Hub also offers specific presets for each use, which is a considerable time saving.

In real-world situations, the Superlight 2 demonstrates its full potential. Its exceptional lightness facilitates rapid movements in FPS, while its precision allows for the finest adjustments. We will regret all the same that the skates give a very slight resistance to the Superlight. Thus, the ideal would be to change them for ceramic models in order to perfect the experience.

Optical switches, while slightly noisier than average, provide satisfying tactile feedback. The particularly silent wheel stands out for its smooth scrolling while maintaining well-defined notches.

Despite its featherweight, the Superlight 2 gives off a reassuring impression of solidity as Logitech knows so well how to do. No creaking or mechanical play spoils the experience. The impeccable finishes justify its premium positioning and promise foolproof durability.

The Logitech Pro X Superlight 2 DEX sets a new standard in the world of gaming mice. It brilliantly combines extreme lightness, exceptional technical performance and generous battery life. Where the first version of the Superlight was already exceptional, the DEX improves the ergonomic aspect of this flagship mouse.

Its high price is the only real obstacle to purchase, but demanding players will find what they are looking for as the performance is of a high standard. After all, it is certainly the best mouse of the moment for FPS fans.
