Luxury car theft ring dismantled in Ontario

Vehicles were stolen in the Greater Toronto Area and Southwestern Ontario.

As part of an investigation begun in October, York Regional Police recovered 52 stolen vehicles, valued at $3.2 million.

Police searches in Vaughan, Toronto, London, Cambridge and Bradford. Nearly 100 counts of theft and possession of stolen property were brought against 11 men.

The Stolen cars were stored in residential areas.

This group of prolific criminals targeted high-end vehicles and planned to send them to places as far away as Azerbaijan and Georgia , we specify in a press release.

The investigation, called Project Mamba, continues. The police invite anyone who has information on this subject to send it to them or to contact Crime Stoppers.
