The end of a week full of announcements, Apple announced its new MacBook Pro equipped with M4 chips , M4 Pro and M4 Max.

Côt&eacute design, the MacBook Pro M4 is no different from its predecessor. The two computers can be placed side by side and you won't see any changes. The new features are, however, very present, but to look at the inside of the machine.

First of all, the MacBook Pro now has an M4, M4 Pro or M4 Max chip depending on the configuration you select when purchasing. In its official press release, Apple announces that the M4 Pro chip is up to 4-5 times faster than the M1 chip on certain applications. It notably highlights advanced software such as Maxon Redshift for 3D rendering or MATLAB for numerical calculations. Not really software intended for the general public then. The M4 Max chip is, as for it, the most powerful Apple chip to date and allows in particular great performances on software like Final Cut Pro for editing in 4/8K and 120 images per second.

Still on the power side, all MacBook Pro M4s now have 16 GB of RAM in their base configuration. Enough to support even more demanding work on your software and applications, even those that are resource-intensive. Even more surprising: this improvement is now also offered on the older MacBook Pro M3.
