You may (probably) know Jacquie et Michel, this brand (registered in 2004) associated with various pornographic websites. A brand owned by the Ares company, the same one that also controls J&M sex shops, products derived from the brand (especially beers) and the Hot Vidéo paper magazine, the one stocked at the top of the tobacconist's. But after 25 years of very (very) French production, Jacquie et Michel is changing hands, and even countries, by moving to the other side of the Atlantic.

Indeed, it’s now JETM Technology Solutions Limited Liability Company(or LLC) which will be responsible for managing the French brand. An American fund active in the entertainment industry as a whole, but which is in no way specialized in video exclusively for adults, promise the founders of the brand.

On the LLC side, we have therefore got our hands on the Jacquie et Michel brand, but also on the various associated websites, the management of which will now be entrusted to this company based in Delaware, and headed by Kevin Mellow. Let us recall that Delaware is a form of tax haven in the United States, prized by thousands of companies from Silicon Valley, Wall Street, not to mention Coca-Cola, Ford, Wal-Mart…

Eventually, the Jacquie et Michel websites will “go international”, with support from the United States of course, but also from Canada and Hungary. In total, out of the thirty employees that the Ares company had (which closed its doors), about fifteen have decided to join this new American group. The brand also specifies that this change is not linked to the recent legislative changes in France concerning (among other things) adult sites.

According to the magazine L’Informé, Jacquie et Michel generated a turnover of 8 million euros in 2022, allowing its three shareholders (Michel Piron, Araceli Piron and Thibault Piron) to recover a little over 5 million euros in dividends over the last two years. Incidentally, let us recall that according to a study, excessive consumption of pornography could lead to sexual dysfunctions…
