Malicious phone calls: the Gard prefecture issues a warning notice to users

Calls concerning the quality of municipal water have reportedly been made by malicious individuals. The Gard prefecture is calling on victims to report these incidents.

Malicious phone calls concerning the quality of water in the municipalities of Sommières and Bezouce have been reported by residents of these municipalities, warns the Gard prefecture, in a press release on Friday, December 27.

The quality of the water is not the subject of any alert

Specifying that after verifications, “the communities and operators in charge of the water networks are not the source of these calls. The quality of the water distributed in these sectors is compliant and is not the subject of any alert”, completes the organization d’État.

Who adds that in case of doubt, “users can contact the operator in charge of the drinking water network in their municipality”.

And can also report any malicious call by filing a complaint online at https://plainte-en-ligne.masecurite.interieur.gouv.fr/
