“Many French people have not received this aid of 150 euros, only a few days left to claim it”
It is possible to claim the money that the administration owes you.
The State owes you money. While many aid schemes for households exist and are generally paid automatically, the administration has gotten itself tangled up. A check, intended for more than 5 million French people, has not been distributed to all French people who are eligible. While it should have been arrived in the mailbox several weeks ago, it is still waiting for about a million households, according to the CLCV association. And for good reason. A mix-up has disrupted the distribution. The people affected must think about claiming it.
Especially since it is a valuable aid, allowing you to pay part of your electricity, gas, fuel oil or even your condominium charges: the energy check. Each year, this system reduces the bill for the most deprived households having difficulty meeting these expenses. Between 48 and 277 euros are sent, depending on your income. The average amount is 150 euros. But this year, there was a glitch in the system for identifying eligible people.
While households that received it last year were able to receive it again without any problems, new beneficiaries have been left out. Please note that the income taken into account for calculating this aid is that of 2022! Forgotten people may, for example, be young people who entered the workforce (first-time tax filers) this year, households that experienced a drop in income between 2021 and 2022, or households that experienced a birth in 2022. However, you must not exceed a certain income, depending on whether or not you have children.
To do this, you must take your latest tax notice, look at the line “Reference tax income” and divide it by the number of shares, written just above. (example: RFR of 15,000 euros/1.5 shares). If the result is less than 11,000 euros, then you can receive the energy check. Beyond that, the State does not pay it.
As a concrete example, a single person receiving the minimum wage is not entitled to this aid, but a single person with a child and receiving the minimum wage can receive the check. The minimum wage is more or less the salary limit that must not be exceeded to benefit from this system.
People who have not received it even though they are entitled to it can therefore apply by clicking on this site, by December 31, 2024. To do this, you will need to have your tax number, your identity document and an energy bill in your name. After studying the file, the energy check will be sent within a maximum period of one month.
