MedVallée: nine Montpellier start-ups distinguished for their excellence

Ce jeudi 30 janvier, une cérémonie était organisée à Cap Alpha en l’honneur des neuf lauréats du dispositif Boost Invest MedVallée, qui ont innové en matière de santé et d’environnement.

The nine startups that won the Boost Invest MedVallée program were over the moon yesterday at Cap Alpha when they received their certificates from the mayor and president of the Métropole, Michaël Delafosse. It must be said that the program set up by the Métropole will give them a real boost, because its goal is to facilitate fundraising, covering a need ranging from €100,000 to €15 million.

To win the prize, the startups had to meet a number of criteria: operate in the health, environment or food sectors; be established in the Métropole and its surroundings and innovative; have strong development potential; be in a fundraising process…

Health wins the day

Of the nine winning start-ups, eight are practicing their talents in the health sector. Al Strocke is working to reduce the devastating impact of strokes worldwide through its innovative solutions powered by artificial intelligence. NBX Biosciences was selected for its development of a bacterial drug against Alzheimer's disease.

In the fight against breast and prostate cancer, the start-up Nova Gray was selected for its development and marketing of radiotherapy tolerance tests for patients suffering from these diseases. Another winner, Aporepair, for its drug first-in-class, which protects the heart muscle from the side effects and deleterious effects occurring when the artery reopens.

Nervosave Therapeutics was selected for its work on innovative gene therapies for nervous and genetic diseases, and chronic pain. Greenphage was recognized for its precision antibacterial solutions to combat antibiotic resistance.

Stent Up distinguished itself with the development of an innovative brain implant designed to prevent aneurysm ruptures and Regenlife Santé for its development of neuro-intestinal stimulation technology for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and other neurological conditions.

Outside the health sector, E-Ethylene won the prize for its electrolytic system that converts industrial CO2 emissions into ethylene.
