Stuart Hogg appeared in Selkirk Magistrates Court on Monday, November 4, accused by his ex-wife of harassment and domestic violence. He had also breached his bail conditions. The MHR full-back, who came out of retirement last summer to join Hérault, pleaded guilty. He admitted sending 200 text messages in the hours after his divorce from his ex-partner and mother of his four children, Rugbypass reports.

He initially denied it, but later pleaded guilty

Hogg also admitted that he would often come home drunk with friends and display abusive behaviour towards her, accusing her of not being ” funny”.

The rugby player had initially denied the accusations of harassment over a period of seven years.

The Scottish justice system will give its judgment in the coming hours.

A key player for the MHR since the start of the season, he broke his hand during the match against La Rochelle (16-0) and will be out for a month.
