Among the curiosities of the Montpellier off-season, in addition to the names present in the new staff, some big names mentioned to wear the MHR jersey, were confirmed by the president Altrad.

How will the MHR be able to get back up to tackle next season, and maintain itself more easily or even regain its place, in the top 6 ? By recruitment ? Among the headliners of the future recruitment, Stuart Hogg.

The Scottish full-back, soon to be 32, recently retired, best player of the Six Nations Tournament in 2016 and 2017 and one of the best in his time (three Lions tours, two World Cups), is a gamble that the Montpellier management has taken. “He signed for 2 years and an option, it's not a surprise”, confirmed Mohed Altrad.

Among the other expected arrivals, that of Madosh Tambwe (27 years old), Congolese winger from Bordeaux-Bègles, who distinguished himself on Sunday evening against Racing 92, in the play-off. “He signed for two or three seasons”, adds the president of the MHR.

Mohamed Haouas, exiled in Biarritz in Pro D2, this season, will return to his hometown, this summer. “He will have a proper off-season, to lose weight, get his cardio back, warns Altrad. Laporte spoke to him, that's the condition for him to come back… At the first deviation, he leaves again… I hope he understood with everything that happened to him.”

During the summer, other officializations will take place to complete the MHR workforce.
