Michel Drucker: a presenter who worries viewers

This is not the first time that Michel Drucker's health has worried his audience. In 2020, in the middle of the Covid period, the presenter underwent open heart surgery and, a little less than three years later, he returned to hospital to treat the same problem: infectious endocarditis of the mitral valve (an inflammation caused by a bacterial infection). Although he thought he was out of the woods, Michel Drucker seems to have to face a few more worries, but they are less worrying.

Michel Drucker has been dealing with a series of hard knocks since 2020. Admitted to the Georges-Pompidou European Hospital in Paris for infectious endocarditis of the mitral valve, he narrowly escaped an amputation of his right leg. He had undergone triple bypass surgery, an operation that lasted eight hours. In March 2023, he had to undergo a second open heart operation. In the columns of Télé Loisirs, the latter had stated : “I am a survivor”, before continuing:  “Over the past three years, I have spent almost a year in the hospital. I have come back from each operation very weakened and I feel am recovered”.

Michel Drucker: the host “is doing well” according to his relatives

Michel Drucker's relatives, contacted by Le Figaro, said to have quickly spoken out in order to deny the rumors. The host would have returned home very quickly. Michel Drucker is doing well and he is returned home that same evening”, they claimed. Michel Drucker allegedly contacted his doctors, explaining his symptoms and they allegedly asked him to come. He allegedly underwent a few tests, initially scheduled for the beginning of 2025, in order to examine himself and make sure everything was fine.
