“I have another daughter, a younger one, who unfortunately had a terrible experience. […] I feel like we don't understand each other. We haven't grown apart, but there is a situation that is very difficult to manage”, Michel Sardou also added about his second daughter Cynthia. As a reminder, the woman who was notably a correspondent for Canal+ in the United States had been kidnapped, sequestered and raped by three men in Pontoise. On Christmas Eve in 1999.

Now living in Quebec for over 10 years, Michel Sardou's youngest daughter recently spoke about her father in the columns of the Journal des Femmes. “I learned to accept him as he is. Without placing expectations on him and living in disappointment”, Cynthia first declared. She then clarified that she did not see “ often” her father.
“From there to saying that we are he and I, in conflict ? (…) My words, perceptions and words are no longer the same as they were 25 years ago towards my father and this has not been the case for a long time”, Michel Sardou's second daughter also added. Now aged 51, Cynthia has written several books about the tragedy she experienced. The woman who continued her career as a journalist has also just completed a novel, called The Film.
