A true living legend of French song. Michel Sardou recently retired for good. Indeed, after a final concert tour, the musician ended his career on stage. He will now be able to enjoy a well-deserved rest alongside his partner Anne-Marie Périer. In the past, the singer has shared the life of Elisabeth Haas, known as “Babette“. Together, the two lovebirds gave birth to two children.

Davy Sardou, who embarked on a career as an actor. And Romain Sardou, who has now become a writer. However, these are not Michel Sardou's only children. Indeed, the singer is also the father of two daughters, named Sandrine and Cynthia. The latter are the fruit of his relationship with the dancer Françoise Pettré. Very discreet about them, the musician nevertheless made rare confidences about his two daughters in 2021. In his autobiography entitled I'm not dead, I'm sleeping.

Michel Sardou: his daughter Cynthia “has had a terrible experience”

“There's not much to say. She followed elementary studies rather badly than well. Then, without enthusiasm, professional training. She married once or twice in Vegas. Blessed by fake pastors who looked like of Elvis or Sammy Davis. And lives with a featureless man that I will never try to know… That's all”, Michel Sardou had first indicated about his eldest daughter Sandrine.

“I have another daughter, a younger one, who unfortunately had a terrible experience. […] I feel like we don't understand each other. We haven't grown apart, but there is a situation that is very difficult to manage”, Michel Sardou also added about his second daughter Cynthia. As a reminder, the woman who was notably a correspondent for Canal+ in the United States had been kidnapped, sequestered and raped by three men in Pontoise. On Christmas Eve in 1999.

Cynthia Sardou on her father: “I learned to accept him as he is”

Now living in Quebec for over 10 years, Michel Sardou's youngest daughter recently spoke about her father in the columns of the Journal des Femmes. “I learned to accept him as he is. Without placing expectations on him and living in disappointment”, Cynthia first declared. She then clarified that she did not see “ often” her father.

“From there to saying that we are he and I, in conflict ? (…) My words, perceptions and words are no longer the same as they were 25 years ago towards my father and this has not been the case for a long time”, Michel Sardou's second daughter also added. Now aged 51, Cynthia has written several books about the tragedy she experienced. The woman who continued her career as a journalist has also just completed a novel, called The Film.
