Each year, Booking.com’s Travellers Review Awards highlight French destinations that stand out for their hospitality and the quality of their welcome. Based on more than 360 million verified guest reviews, these awards recognize travel partners that offer an exceptional experience.

And for this 13th edition, Aveyron stands out with two cities ranked among the most welcoming in the former Midi-Pyrénées region: Millau on the second step of the podium and Rodez just behind. Albi and Castres completed this Top 5 crowned by Argelès-Gazost, a town of 7,000 inhabitants located in the west of the Hautes-Pyrénées department, which took 17th place in the French ranking.

An exceptional year

To receive an award, accommodations had to obtain an average score of 8.0 (out of 10) or more based on at least 3 reviews, between November 1 and 30, 2024. “This ranking obviously rewards all the work implemented for several years now” rejoices Benoît Prat, director of the Ibis Budget hotel in Millau, the chain's 2nd French establishment in terms of quality welcome!

It also confirms the exceptional nature of a year 2024 marked by several important events: the Millau viaduct race which attracted a large thousand participants and the passage of the Olympic flame in the city of the glove.
