It's a real disaster that's been unfolding in Los Angeles since Tuesday, January 7. Impressive fires are destroying the region and have forced more than 100,000 residents to flee the American megalopolis. So far, five people have lost their lives while others, who managed to reach safety, have seen their homes succumb to the flames. Among those affected, there are also well-known personalities. Closer suggests starting with the French. The first is Laeticia Hallyday. The latter confided, in a heartbreaking video, that she had lost her home.

We can also mention Patrick Bruel. He acquired a pied-à-terre in order to be closer to his sons, Oscar and Léon, born from his past union with the novelist Amanda Sthers. On his Instagram account, the latter gave reassuring news. “Thanks to my friends for all your messages regarding this disaster in Los Angeles. Just to reassure you, there is no one in the house and the children are safe,” he wrote. However, regarding his house, he claims not to know if it is still standing.

Los Angeles: significant material damage

In his message, Patrick Bruel confided that very significant damage will be deplored. “It's apocalyptic. There will be considerable material damage to be seen once the area is accessible,” he said before thinking of the firefighters. “But for now my thoughts are with the brave firefighters and those trapped in the flames. Strength to you!”. For her part, Amanda Sthers said she was very worried. I spent the night with my friends on the phone, obviously the most important thing is the people”, she began on the show Télématin this Thursday, January 9.

If the priority is obviously human, Amanda Sthers also confides that she is afraid for her home. “But I have my son who left the day it started and he saw things from the plane. “He sent us videos,” she said, before continuing: “We haven't heard from their dad's house in Pacific Palisades that seems to have gone up in flames.” As for hers, which is on the other side of Hollywood, Amanda Sthers says she's apprehensive. “Mine is on the other side in Hollywood, I thought we were far away but a fire broke out last night. They evacuated the area too”, she said.

These American stars affected by the fires

If French personalities are impacted, they are not the only ones. In the neighborhoods of Los Angeles there are American stars who had to evacuate to get to safety. Starting with Paris Hilton. The latter confided to her subscribers that she discovered, while watching television, that part of her vacation home had burned. However, she said she was reassured to know that her family was safe. Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, for their part, lost their entire home. Same story for Leighton Meester and Adam Brody who no longer have a home. An image revealed by Page Six shows the extent of the damage and it is upsetting.

Among the other celebrities who lost their entire home, there is also Anna Faris. Only debris of what was once her home is visible now. We can also mention Miles Teller and his wife Keleigh Teller who find themselves facing their completely destroyed business. The same goes for Eugene Levy who managed to get to safety before the worst happened. We can mention Anthony Hopkins, Billy Crystal, John Goodman or Cameron Mathison. If others are still lucky enough to have their home, they have however gotten to safety to escape the worst.
