Montpellier 0 : 5
OM Live
OM corrects Montpellier and returns to victory (5-0). It was not necessary to arrive late at the Mosson. 45 seconds of play are enough for Elye Wahi to punish his former club after a superb pass from Rowe. The Phocéens are not really satisfied after this early goal and want more. Wahi is very close to the double on a good ball from Hojbjerg but Lecomte makes a superb save (16th minute). Even if the match is bumpy, the first period remains lively and the opportunities follow one after the other. Another former Montpellier player disgusts his former team. Rulli makes an exceptional save on a blocked shot from Nordin before Adams misses the target (34th). This is the turning point of the first half. Just after this huge opportunity, Harit and Hojbjerg score the second (36th) and the third goal (40th). After the break, the first opportunity goes to Savanier. The Montpellier captain tries from afar but Rulli responds again (47th). Just after a post by Wahi (55'), the latter will transform into a decisive passer for Greenwood who finds the back of the net (59') to weigh down the addition. And as if that was not enough, Montpellier will be reduced to 10 a few moments later after the dangerous tackle by Dzodic (65') who came on in play before the hour mark. This red card will not help the situation for Montpellier and Lecomte, who will lose for the fifth time on a goal from the opportunistic Luis Henrique who was hovering at the far post on a deflected cross (73rd). This will be the last goal of a perfect evening for the Phocéens who are ideally preparing for the Classique against Paris next week. On the other hand, Montpellier continues to sink.
