In January 2024, Wade Young, who had recently been deprived of the official Sherco handlebars, arrived in Alès riding a Gas Gas. He was the one who finally won, ahead of his former teammate, Mario Roman, securing his first double at Alestrem. Two riders had achieved the same feat before him: Jonny Walker (2015 and 2016) and Graham Jarvis (2017 and 2019).

Not so simple…
The best specialists in the world will be there
Not so simple because the “Black” riders, the only ones who will try to do three laps, are, this time again, very high-flying. A quick overview of the forces present.
Wade Young, still without an official handlebar despite his world status, will ride again with a Gas Gas, once again made available by Moto Park.
For his part, the Spaniard Mario Roman should make the French colours of Sherco shine with the help, as in 2024, of the young Bulgarian Teodor Kabakchiev.
Alfredo Gomez, another sure bet from Spain, will aim for a new podium, this time riding his official Beta.
Only six enduro riders finished the race in 2024
The German Manuel Lettenbichler is also announced, in the colours of KTM, despite the brand's difficulties. Weighed down by a plethora of stock and a colossal debt, the giant KTM is going through a difficult time. The Austrian brand remains a loyal supporter of Alestrem.
And the French in this golden plateau ? Gardois Fabien Poirot (Gas Gas), the most experienced in the French peloton, will try to repeat his feat of 2024, namely finishing the race. Only six enduro riders managed to do it last year.
550 riders expected
By midweek, 584 riders had signed up. “In the end, there should be 550 of them at the start of a prologue back to the Pôle Mécanique, rejoices Jérémy Marin Cudraz, one of the race organizers. That would be a record for the tenth anniversary of Alestrem. With the exception of the Englishman Billy Bolt, we will have the best drivers in the world.”
