My incredible buyer: a project on the transfer and takeover of local businesses

"You are a business leader ready to transfer your activity ? You are an entrepreneur looking for a local opportunity ? This event allows you to dialogue, exchange and lay the foundations for a successful collaboration." This is the summary of the My Incredible Takeover project, deployed for the first time in France and launched this Wednesday, January 15, 2025 in Mende.

On Wednesday, January 15, 2025, the Mon incroyable repreneur (MIR) project was launched in the presence of Laurent Suau, the president of the Cœur de Lozère community of communes and the Lozère departmental council, Élizabeth Minet-Treneule, community representative and Anthony Puppo, the development director of the Auxilia conseil association, who presented the program. This project concerns the transfer and takeover of businesses in the Cœur de Lozère community of communes and aims to promote transactions between transferors and buyers.

It is part of the continuity of the My city centre has an incredible business project organised in Mende in 2019 and 2022. This experience, unprecedented in France, addresses a major challenge: ensuring the continuity of local businesses to preserve the dynamism of the area by selecting the “gems that must not disappear”. Then, it aims to achieve six objectives: connect entrepreneurs, attract buyers, highlight local entrepreneurs, create a favorable context for transfers, accelerate transfer projects by connecting transferors and buyers, and finally, germinate new ideas.

The program is intended for anyone wishing to sell a business located in the heart of Lozère, since it is the one that hosts a third of the departmental economic activity: downtown merchants, local artisans, etc. After applying, the transfer projects will be evaluated and eight to ten businesses in the area will be selected.

Five-episode broadcast

The businesses will be evaluated by a jury composed of local elected officials and program partners. The winners will be rewarded with a prize in support, a subsidy or a service offered by a partner (bank, accountant, etc.).

In mid-March, the transferors will be presented via a five-episode program available on social networks that will highlight the selected business leaders“like a series, with the creation of an effect of waiting for the next episode”. Mid-April 2025, the selection of the most relevant buyers will take place. They will also have to register, and a qualification phone call will be made, before they are summoned to the “36-hour program”. The buyers can come from all over France.

“Fun meeting”

May 16 and 17, 2025 will be devoted to the meeting between the selected sellers and buyers, to the visit of the companies to be transferred or to the creation of the seller/buyer couples. “It's about organizing an original and fun meeting to break the ice.” Before these two days, a friendly evening in a small group will be organized in Mende with the ten selected transferors to present the system in detail.
