However, in the documentary La Grande Seine unveiled on December 19, Thomas Jolly revealed that he had thought of another singer for this performance and everyone knows her.

Indeed, it was Mylène Farmer who was contacted to perform on this stage but the latter had to refuse. “She was not available”, confided Thomas Jolly before adding: “So there you have it… she said no”.While he fully understands the singer's refusal, composer Victor Le Masne then adds: “We're not going to lie to ourselves, of course, it's the Olympic Games. Mylène Farmer was unable to respond positively to this request but the production wanted to give her a nice nod. On several occasions, he had affirmed his desire to perform on stage, then specifying: “I thought I was legitimate”.
