Doubts exist about the fitness of Rafael Nadal, injured in the adductors and engaged in doubles with Carlos Alcaraz for a golden Olympic dream with his young companion. But the Majorcan wants to be reassuring. "According to the medical imaging that I had, I am relatively optimistic. I hope I wake up in good shape tomorrow (Monday, Ed.)

“Ultimately, the situation is different. Normally, when I play this kind of match against him, we play in the final rounds for something really important. This is the Olympics, every match is important, there is no doubt about it, but I don't know exactly at what level I can play. I will try to do my best to create problems for him. I don't really know what will happen, but I always have the right attitude and if the inspiration comes, I will work hard. We will be there and we will do our best to make this match a special night” explained Rafael Nadal before the match.

&What time to watch the match ?

The match between Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic is scheduled for the second rotation on the Philippe Chatrier court after the match between Parry and Swiatek which starts at noon. We could therefore see the two legends on the court around 1:30 p.m.
