During the constant arrival of electric scooters with ordinary designs, comes the Navee S60. This electric scooter does not go unnoticed and for good reason its futuristic aesthetic is directly inspired by the controversial Tesla Cybertruck.

But beyond its appearance, what is this new machine really worth ? After an intensive test on winding roads of Essonne, here is our opinion on the Cybertruck scooter.

A design like Tesla's Cybertruck

At first glance, we understand what he wanted do Navee with his S60. Its angular lines and resolutely futuristic look contrast with the more conventional design of the competition. The brushed aluminum-look frame, sharp edges and flat surfaces immediately evoke the aesthetics of Tesla's Cybertruck.

< p>This affiliation assumed until the official communication from Navee can be divisive. Some may see it as a tribute, others a passable attempt to ride the wave initiated by Tesla. For our part, we appreciate the rather unique look of the S60, even if its particularities stop mainly alongside its silver-colored tray.

Beyond its looks, the design of the S60 exudes quality. The finishes are impeccable, and the whole thing seems very solid. There is still one regrettable element regarding the design of this electric scooter. Indeed, to stylize the suspensions at a lower cost, Navee used flexible protections lacking in nobility. Too bad.

Good performance and decent battery life.

If the design of the S60 is inspired by Tesla, what about its performance ? Navee announces a top speed of 25 km/h (restricted in accordance with French legislation ) and a range of up to 60 km (provided you limit yourself to 15 km/h). Good figures that we took the trouble to check during our test.

In terms of pure speed, the S60 is one of the models of the most efficient electric scooters. The 500W motor with a peak power of 1000W allows you to quickly reach the regulatory 25 km/h, including on slight climbs. Acceleration is sharp, but progressive, offering driving that is both dynamic and reassuring.

Accepting maximum climbs of 24%, our tests revealed that a 6% climb didn't cause us to lose more than 4 km/h, which is pretty good. It must also be said that our weight being only 10 kilos below the maximum permitted limit of 120 kilos imposes more constraints on the scooter's engine. A data to also take into account during the autonomy tests of the machine.

In real conditions of use, alternating flat, very slight ascents and descents, we we observed a range of 23 km when driving in sport mode, and rather 45 km in standard mode. A figure which remains very respectable and sufficient for most daily journeys, but which still remains rather far from the initial promise.

The recharge of 20 to 100% takes about 6 hours on a typical household outlet. A reasonable time which allows the scooter to be easily recharged during the night or at the office, while respecting ideal charging conditions of course.

High, stable and comfortable

One of the traditional weak points of electric scooters concerns driving comfort, often undermined by the irregularities of the road surface. On this point, the Navee S60 stands out thanks to its large 10-inch wheels and its dual front and rear suspension system.

The result is convincing: small shocks are well absorbed and general comfort is greatly improved. Be careful though, these suspensions are firmer than those of the Navee S65C that we tested here.

New here, the S60 offers a braking system on both wheels, using two handles. Efficiency is there, with short stopping distances and excellent dosage. The regenerative electronic brake effectively completes the device, allowing you to slow down gently while lightly recharging the battery.

A significant addition, the indicators are arriving on this model, a welcome initiative to improve user safety. It should also be noted that their use is particularly simple, the control located under the left thumb being very easily accessible.

A new application and the integration of Apple localization

The Navee S60 is firmly in tune with the times with a modern interface and connected features. The large and bright central LCD screen clearly displays essential information: speed, battery level, driving mode.

Readability is excellent, even in direct sunlight. However, as with the V50 , we will criticize its screen which is far too likely to be scratched easily, which is a stain on a model at this price.

There is finally something new on the application side! Indeed, you should know that previously, Navee scooters used the Xiaomi home application. In order to highlight and distinguish the brand, Navee has finally released its own app.

It is obviously very similar to the experience offered by Xiaomi, even if the French translation still leaves a little to be desired. It still allows you to do most of what is expected of such an application, and that is the main thing.

Where Navee further improves the connectivity of its scooters, it is by applying the “Find my” functionality to this S60 from Apple, which allows you to find the location of the machine. This feature completely replaces an AirTag, and is a convenient and reassuring integration for iPhone users.

Faced with well-established competitors like Xiaomi or Ninebot, Navee plays the card of originality with its design inspired by the Cybertruck. A bold bet that could appeal to fans of new technologies and futuristic design.

In daily use,The Navee S60 proves to be generally practical, provided that it is used more peri-urbanly. In fact, it weighs no less than 24.6 kilos, which makes it far too heavy a scooter to be carried up stairs for example.

The wide platform offers excellent comfort for the feet, but the suspensions are a little too firm for our taste. This still contributes with the new double brake installation to excellent braking, particularly safe. We also appreciate that Navee finally offers its own mobile application, but also the “ Find my ” location system from Apple.

With a recommended retail price of 699€, the Navee S60is positioned in the mid-high segment of the consumer electric scooter market. A price that seems consistent given the manufacturing quality, performance and features offered by the machine.

Ultimately, the Navee S60 stands out as an interesting option for those looking for a high-performance electric scooter with a unique look. It does not revolutionize the genre, but brings a welcome touch of originality to the market.
