It has been a tradition for several years, the Christmas race, formerly a race from nativity scene to nativity scene, will take place this Saturday, November 14, in Béziers. Starting from the Place de la Madeleine, participants will set off at 7 p.m. for a 7.3 km loop.

“It is a race that is open to everyone, from 8 years old, explains Arnaud Petit, from the sports department of the Béziers town hall, which organizes the event. However, minors must be accompanied.” The route will allow participants to pass by several Béziers churches, the Paul-Riquet alleys, the market halls or the Plateau des Poètes. Before returning to the starting point, Place de la Madeleine.

On arrival, a friendly moment is planned. “There is nothing to win, it is mostly a festive time, indicates Arnaud Petit. Besides, you can do it running or walking, there is no stopwatch. A large refreshment point will take place after the race. It should also be noted that we are organizing it in partnership with the SOS Maaloula association, which will sell mulled wine at the finish.”

Nearly 800 participants are expected, and should remember to bring their headlamps.
