The success story of the Dacia Spring continues and is likely to take off again. After conquering the market thanks to its disruptive price positioning (the cheapest EV on the market, sold at 140,000 units in Europe) and receiving the new brand identity in 2022, then a 65 horsepower engine in 2023, the small city car is evolving again. All this without denying its original philosophy: democratizing the electric transition to beat other manufacturers and their sometimes outrageous prices.
A more assertive design and a more technological proposition
The aesthetic evolution of the Spring reflects a visual move upmarket, with more assertive lines, aligning with other more upmarket Dacias. You either like it or you don't, in any case, nothing really very original, we remain in the typical look of the crossovers of the decade.
The passenger compartment, quite spacious for the segment, is enriched with equipment previously reserved for higher categories. The Media Nav Live infotainment system, only available on the Extreme finish, deploys a 10-inch touchscreen with integrated connected navigation and wireless compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Expression version is not lacking either, offering manual air conditioning and electric windows at the front. Even the least expensive version has a 7-inch screen.
A safer vehicle
The big problem with previous generations of Spring was their poor results in the Euro NCAP test: only one star out of five, a pretty disastrous result. This new version should perhaps do better, since its technological arsenal has been considerably expanded to meet the latest European standards GSR 2 (General Safety Regulation 2), which came into force in July 2024.

Sign recognition, lane keeping assistance and driver attention monitoring will complete the list of these new features.
This equipment has been implemented without compromising energy efficiency: consumption remains below 14.6 kWh/100 km. Although its design is not radically aerodynamic, the Spring remains a real featherweight and is one of the lightest electric cars on the market.
Ranges and prices
Three finishes are offered: the entry-level Essential Electric 45 is available from 16,900 euros, or for rent from 79 euros per month with a deposit of 3,000 euros. A price that remains completely unbeatable. The Expression finish does a little better and offers two engines to choose from: Electric 45 at 17,900 euros or Electric 65 at 18,900 euros.
At the top of the range, the Extreme version associated with the Electric 65 engine stands out with its slightly more premium equipment, including bidirectional charging, 15-inch rims and a reversing camera. This one is offered at 19,900 euros.
Orders are already open on the manufacturer's official website for those who would like to acquire the new Spring. This new iteration preserves the equation that made the success of the previous models: offering the best price-performance ratio on the electric market, both for purchase and use.

- Three finishes are available, offering attractive options at unbeatable prices for an electric vehicle.
