On Saturday 27 September 2025, the flagship Millau 100km race will see significant changes for safety reasons. The start of the races will be brought forward to 8am instead of 10am, with competitors gathering at 7.30am at the Parc de la Victoire. The time limit to complete the 100km will be reduced from 24 hours to 18 hours, meaning the race will end at 2am on Sunday.

We have found that in the time range between 18:00 and 24:00, less than 70 competitors in the last two years crossed the finish line out of more than 1,200 at the start

This decision aims to reduce the risks associated with night-time traffic and the increase in traffic on the Millau – Saint-Affrique axis. The organizers point out that fewer than 70 competitors crossed the finish line between 6 p.m. and midnight in recent years, out of more than 1,200 participants at the start. They also point out that the 100 km of Millau was until now the only event offering such a wide time slot, which complicated the organization and management of volunteers.

A new 23-kilometer event

At the same time, a new 23-km event will be introduced this year to meet growing demand. The start of this race will be at the same time as the 100 km and the marathon.

The route will be identical up to La Cresse, where the participants of the new event will cross the Tarn by the Cresse bridge to join the return route of the 100 km and the marathon towards Millau via Paulhe. As in previous years, the finish will be at the village hall.

Registrations for this new event and the rules will be available soon on the event website. Runners are invited to choose their event… And start their training!
